Dr Tanya started classical dance training at the tender age of 3. She is proficient in Indian classic dance forms such as Bharathanatyam, Mohiniyattam and Kuchipudi. She has won several awards in state and national youth festivals and won the Kalathilakom title, which is considered to be very prestigious in the art field. She had won first prize in Classical Dance in the National Youth Festival held in Mumbai.
Dr Tanya was also an acclaimed child artist. She has acted in over 20 Malayalam movies. At the age of 7, she received the Kerala Government award for Best Child Artist and Kalavedi Award for her performance in the film Ormayilennum.
In 2018, she conceived and performed in a Multimedia Dance Theater Show in Soorya, the prestigious cultural platform of Kerala. The dance recital was based on Indulekha, the first Malayalam novel.
She is pursuing her passion in dance amidst the busy work schedule and occasionally gives classical dance performance.
